Cruising yard sales, I’ve passed many bins filled with old Christmas lightbulbs. Yup, I passed right by them, but after seeing these crafty ideas, I won’t be so quick to pass them by on my next yard sale outing. And they are generally very cheaply priced.
Top Left - A Lightbulb Tree: It appears all that is needed to make this cute “shadow box tree” is an old crate (like a farm fruit crate) and 22 old lightbulbs (1 is green; 21 are red).
Top Right - A Lightbulb Floral Arrangement: I like this idea. I count 10 old lightbulbs. Affix these to florist’s wire (or large, heavy pipe cleaners). Then add some greenery and red berries. What a nice holiday floral arrangement!
Bottom Left - A Lightbulb Wreath: Old lightbulbs, 2 old painted, frosted glass ornaments, a felt Pixie on a toadstool, and 2 old bottle brush trees. Attach all to a wreath form. This idea has endless possibilities.
Bottom Right - A Lightbulb Centerpiece: Take a handful of old lightbulbs, coat them in glitter, then add them along with some pinecones to a tall glass vase.
